Those were the first words I ever heard Mr. Myers speak. I called my Best Friend Vernon, as I had MANY MANY times before, but this time a deep (possibly intimidating) voice answered the phone, and for a moment I just didnt know how to respond. I replied: "may I speak with Vernon please?"... There were many more phone calls after this and Mr. Myers always answered the phone the same unique way. Once cell phones were in everyone's pockets, I started forgetting phone number but here we are, a couple dozen years later and I still remember that man's phone number. I will not forget his phone greeting, kindness, stern enough attitude or his willingness just to help talk you through some things. Vernon and I have been through a lot since meeting at C.A.P.E. back in 1987, I will always cherish this family as part of my own. I love you all and send my deepest sympathies.
