Vicki
I don’t know what to say when life is all of a sudden gone.
The pain, the hole, the emptiness that someone filled is gaping
In the love ones you’ve left in a state of disrupt,
Because your strong smiling eyes are now truant
From our gaze, from our voice calling your name.
The road has left you behind
And as you fly to hence you came from,
You are now light, air, water and being
To float in the waters that calmed you soul
When body cradled your spirit as one.
Gone from the grind of societies chains
Gone from the culture that moulded your mind
Gone from the friends that welcomed your smiles
Gone from the family that you nourished and carried
to ride the stars of the ultimate journey.
It is effortless for the mould, the chains to release our bindings …
Hoping that the smiles and time you spent
With the humanity you travelled with,
leave a cast of true essence and bestow on your epithet
mother, sister, daughter, lover and friend.
Everything else other than that… is non-essential
For love is the greatest of treasures.
Money could not bring us back,
Regret cannot stop the tears,
Work cannot dictate our value.
But Vicki, you loved as everyone recollects
You savoured the adventure of live
You celebrated the life given to you
You cared for the people that you have touched
You gave “You” when you talked and even listened.
You have not truly left us
For time is but a dream
And we all march to the same rhythm
And we learn from you to live life
To savour love that is and will ever be.
I may not be there to see your ashes
Mix with the tide
But I live close to the sea
And will light a candle in the dark
For I hear your laughter and see your smile.
Goodbye to the greetings of your voice
Hello to the spirit of your essence.
Goodbye to the toil and the chains
Hello to the stars and the waves.
Goodbye my friend, until………
My prayers are with you Cummings Clan. May her strength and love nourish your memories all the days of your life. Peace…..
Love,
Belinda Bonzon-Liu
