Mrs Victoria Chikezie  was born in the year 1958 at Oturkpo in Benue state of Northern Nigeria, as the first child of Mr Onyeabo Azubuike and his wife, Esther , both of Isuikwuato  L.G.A., Abia state. Her early childhood was traumatised by two tragic events in Nigeria, namely: the great 1966 genocide against the Igbos living in the North, and the Nigerian Civil war (1967-1970). When the genocide started, little Victoria and her parents fled to Nsukka and later to Isuikwuato as refugees.

After the civil war, Victoria completed her primary school education at saint Andrew's Community School, Umunnekwu Agbo. Thereafter, she received her secondary education at girls" secondary school Ehime, Mbano, Imo State (1976-1980).

In December 1981, She got married to Dr. Raphael Chikezie. And later joined him at sofia, Bulgaria. From 1982-1989, She acquired her higher education at Medical Academy, sofia, Bulgaria. And then returned to Nigeria with her husband and family.
