Papa, I cannot believe that you have been gone for a year, to me it feels like a lifetime. Life has been very different without you around, now more than ever. It is too difficult for me to summarize my feelings in a few sentences but let me say that my heart is heavy with your passing.

There have been 7 days without Red in my entire life-this past week. At 24 years old, many of my fondest memories surround him. From going to visit him at the Attleboro Fire Station, to hearing him say "Ya know what ya should do...": these are what will stay with me forever. We will all remember him for different reasons, but the most important thing is that we remember him...

For all of the things that you taught me, for all of the advice that has been given, for all of the times you made me laugh so hard I cried.... these are the things that I will keep with me forever.... for over the last 25 years I came to think of you more as my Father than just a Father in Law.. Thank you for everything... I will miss you always. RIP Pup, you deserve it!
