I can't believe its been two years since you've gone and I wish you could see all the beautiful new babies in our family!! I think about you everyday when I touch my patients -- I wear your bangles on my left hand and even when times get tough in residency I am reminded of your strength as they dangle while I pull out my stethoscope or reach for my pen. What an incredible woman, mother, sister and grandmother you are! See you in the next lifetime!

Amma, you left us with a path to lead with all the strength you gave us. You must be proud to see father turning 90 today. You made him strong mentally to go on! We have a new beautiful baby girl in our family to carry on to remember you and ammamma all the time! She will turn out as remarkable as you are! We are forever grateful for what you made us to be! Love mother.

I miss you more than I can possibly say. It has been very hard for me without you this past year. But I take comfort knowing that you are in some place that is beautiful and are watching over all of us.

Not a single day passes without your memories. We continue to derive our strength from your determination to go forward no matter what which you taught us. You know the person who misses you the most is our Father and it is hard for us to watch him miss you. But you trained him to be strong and he is trying. Thanks again mother for raising us.

Dear Ammama, You are the perfect example of strength, courage and love. Thank you for all that you have done for our family and continue to do. I loved seeing you in my meditation sessions after your passing but I know you are now truly in a better place.

For all - my speech for the funeral is under the stories tab along with a picture of Ammama feeding me cake for my medical school graduation.

Love and light to all! -Savitha

Amma, I still can not fathom what a great impact you made in my children's and my life. You said you cried when I was born as the fourth girl in a row, but then you said I brought Luck since then you had two boys in a row. There was not a single day in our childhood that we felt we lacked anything since you took care of all our needs. I remember how you and father got me so many Pulla Reddy sweets to eat leaving them at my bedside table when I was pregnant. You literally raised my first daughter Munni since birth until we moved to this country and later too. Savitha, your younger grand child bonded with you the last few years and How you kept saying that your younger grand daughter would take care of you when you had the fall last October if she was in town. You were and will continue to be the Backbone of our family though it is bent right now, we are confident it will straighten with the strength you emanated all your life and insinuated some in all your children and grand children.nothing said or done will fill the great void you left for us. Forever in our Thoughts. Namaste!

What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful person. Although i never met you in this life, i have been blessed to know your daughter Dr. Savithri Bonthala. She is one of the most compassionate and caring doctor and friend that i have ever known. Your love, courage, and legacy, live on through her. I have known her and worked side by side with her as a nurse for approximately 15 years. She has touched me with her kind, thoughtful, and lighthearted spirit. Her dedication as a doctor is amazing. Blessings to your family as you move on to receive your rewards beyond this earthly life. Your have left behind a beautiful legacy for your family. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings to all. Love from, Joni Pace R.N. Clear Lake Regional Medical Center

Thank you Ammamma for being who you were and showing me what it means to be a fighter=).  Thank you pushing through the barriers to make a better life for us all. Thank you for teaching me that picking up the pieces and gracefully moving forward is a mandatory requirement of life. Most importantly, thank you for teaching me that being a woman is a privilege because we hold the torches and pave the path.  And on those days I feel something is amiss, I will look to your life and legacy for courage. I love you and will miss you very much.
