Mr. Parmer was born Thursday, June 17, 1920, in Woodland, Alabama. He was a policeman with the City of West Point for over 20 years. After retirement, Mr. Parmer was a watchman at West Point Dam as they were building it. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a farmer in Troup County. He loved to fish.
Survivors include his daughters, Ann Folds (William) of Mountville, Georgia and Carol Morgan (Chuck) of LaGrange; his sons, Ray Parmer of Roanoke, Alabama, and Ralph Parmer of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Harold Parmer, Aaron Parmer and Wayne “Bo” Parmer.
