Dad, it had been one year since you flew home. You left so much behind in everything you have done and I am forever doubly blessed to have you for my Dad. I love you, Dad! The family and I are taking care of Mom.
Love the photos -- thank you! It's especially sweet to recall the natural affection between Uncle Wayne & Aunt Glenna. Sad to think how rare, but what a treasure! So foundational. My hands-down favorites are the Halloween pics, though -- LOL! I resonated with LeAnn's comment, and choose to hear Uncle Wayne's "very distinctive laugh" through his hats! And, like Karen, see him dancing.
What to say about this amazing man. He was a Godly man. He walked and lived the talk without speaking it. I consider it a privileged to have known this man and thankful for his love and friendship. I know your body is now free of pain and dancing with the Angels. I'll meet you in heaven. Its not goodbye, but see you later!
Wayne was a wonderful friend who loved life and everyone around him. He and Glenna created a wonderful family with perfect love. I know you are in heaven with God and the angels looking down and showering your love on all of us. You can win all your Poker hands now! We miss you.
Wayne and I were married for 59 1/2 years. He was the most considerate, caring, thoughtful husband anyone could ever have, so easy to live with, worked so hard. He was such a good example for our kids being there when they needed him, doing things with them, setting a good example. Never complaining about his illness. He was well loved and will be soully missed.
Our Dad was amazing! He did not preach his religion, he lived it. It was his roots, his connection to home, to his mother, to childhood. Every Sunday he escorted us off to church, all 8 of us. He loved his church and it showed by how much he loved others. How beautiful that on his final days the love he gave so generously came back to surround him in death. "Lord How Great Thou Are"
Precious man! I knew and worked with Wayne for many years while at Boeing. He once saved me from being laid off - and actually created a new position for me in another part of the organization. But apart from that gesture, he was still one of the kindest and most precious people I have ever known. He has always been in my heart. A blessing in my life.
To a precious example of His Love: Although I had only a short while to know you, you have left an indelible blessing on my life ... you will remain in my heart forever.
There was a Dad who had a daughter. Swung her, spun her, caught her, hugged her, praised her, taught her and loved her. Oh what happiness he brought her. You were the very best Dad I could have ever wished for. I was so lucky to be your daughter. I hope we all made you as happy as you made us. You will be in my heart forever.
Dad was my everything, He was always there for me and my siblings NO matter how big or how small, you knew Dad was behind you all they way. From cheering me on when i hit my first home run to showing me how to tie a tie, from loaning me the celica to go to prom, to cosighning for a loan,he gave all and asked for nothing in return. I strive to be half the man my Father was. GOD SPEED PAPA!
Dad was my rock of love, of life and of wisdom. His legacy will live on in each of us kids to the people he had reached out to help. The amazing man is now free and wild as a butterfly playing tag with the wind and to dance in the air and sunshine. I love you so much Dad!
