Dear Lori & family,
We were saddened to hear of the passing of your Dad. The story you shared about your Mom and Dad's first date was priceless. We know you will all be comforted in the days to come with many wonderful memories of his life. We are thinking of you all and pray for God's peace and comfort.
Love & Sympathy,

Bill was my gateway into the trade. He was the one that Al Samborn “awarded” 10 wet behind the ears youngsters to raise into the work a day world of engineering. They all turned into dedicated professionals each in their own discipline. I owe, to a large extent what ever success I may have had at SSOE to his training and grace. I have thought of him often.
That great Architect of the Universe left him with us for a long time, finally readying his place in The a Great House not made with hands, it’s replicas he helped reproduce many times. I honor him and his example.
A story I remember. That gang of 10, Young bucks locked into one small room who were at times more interested in throwing erasers, and shooting rubber bands than clip angles and bolt list. Once, when we all knew that he would be out of the office, leaving us to our own devices, a grand battle was planned. Teams were set and supplies gathered. Once Bill left, the tumult was engaged. Now we were on an outside bay on the sixth floor of the LOF building. Full height windows separated us from the outside. Bill was off to a see his dentist whose office was, yup you guessed it, on the sixth floor of the building right across Madison Avenue from our “office”. He had a perfect view of the ensuing carnage. You know, I don’t remember how we all paid for our transgressions, but something must have occurred.
Rest in glory, my rabbi
