William David Graham was born in Deland, Florida. He passed away peacefully in his home on October 13, 2015 after bravely fighting lung cancer.
He is survived by his wife Linda Graham of Northport, Florida, his two daughters: Shannon Middleton and Desiree Roane, both of St. Petersburg, Florida, two step sons: Christopher Hicks of Michigan, Paul A. Hicks of Oklahoma, and 6 grandchildren.
Dave joined the Navy in May of 1965. He had a long and exciting 24 year career that took him all over the world. He truly loved it.
He retired in July 1989 from the Pentagon in Washington, DC as a Senior Chief Master at Arms and then moved on to become a Private investigator and Firearms Instructor in the state of Florida.
His career helped shape him into a wonderful cook and he will be long remembered for his ribs, baked beans and spaghetti carbonara.
Dave loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He was a devoted husband, father and friend and will be strongly missed.
His service will be Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241
All are welcome to join us as we lay him to rest.
