Dad, wouldn't you be happy to know that Bud and I are celebrating our 50th year as a married couple this year! You and Mom set an excellent example for us with 46 years. You would have celebrated 47 if you had only lived to see it.

Dad, I wonder what you would think about our being pastors in the Baptist church. I think you would like that because Grandma and Aunt Ada were Baptist. I miss your encouraging words, Dad. I like to think of you and Mom in heaven together praising God and waiting for us. Love always, Mollie.

Dad, you would be surprised that you are the great grandfather of 9 great grandchildren: Michael, Owen, Kaytlyn, Eilish, Emma Lee, Tyler, Cameron, Maxwell (he has your smile), and Fionntán. Wouldn't you be proud! I am trying to be a good Aunt, Dad, and now I guess I am the oldest in the family - the matriarch so to speak. Love you and miss you. - Mollie

It is hard to realize that 21 years have gone by since Dad passed away. I miss you, Dad. You could always make me laugh. I tried to make you laugh a little in those last months. We didn't always understand one another, but in spite of that, we loved each other. I was always proud to be your daughter.

Dad was a wonderful story-teller, especially when it was a joke on himself. Dad made many sacrifices for his family. He loved having family around him, especially the babies. Dad was a man of organization and order, shipshape Bristol fashion. Dad loved Mom and was never shy to show it. He hated to leave her, but he trusted her and wanted the best for her. His life was too short.
