This is under construction..

I am currently working on adding to this BLOG which will be a timeline of events since the day of my dad's stroke. I hope this information will offer insight into how the healthcare system works and fails the elderly. I also hope this inspires stroke victims and their families/caregivers to learn all they can about stroke prevention and care. 


and so the longest goodbye began..

It was about 4:30am when I received that phone call. The one I dreaded my entire life. Surreal is the only word to describe that moment when I heard my mother on the end of the line with fear in her voice say "I think daddy had a stroke".
