Uncle Willis was my favorite uncle, I always looked forward to visits with him. He was always well versed in the topic of the day, a humorist with the wit of Will Rogers, and I never heard him speak a bad word about anyone, he was an eternal optimist. He had a way of making you feel a little better about your life, even if things were not going so well. I cherish the memories of going to his house on thanksgiving day in my youth, where all the Raubach girls would gather with their families and celebrate together. During his life he instilled many of us with great wisdom and helped to shape our lives to be better people. Thank You Uncle Willis for allowing me to share in your life and providing me with some of the most memorable moments in my life. You are missed, loved and cherished by those of us who knew you and loved your laughter and smile. May the Angels in Heaven above be laughing at your jokes and learning from your wisdom. God Bless!!

Will the rain hurt the rubarb??????

In 1981 Uncle Willis asked me if I would design a logo for the Stauffer Seed Corn Company Contest. It was a nationalwide contest so didn't think had any chance of winning. However 3 winners were chosen and received a trip to anywhere in the US. Willis and Betsy were one of the winners. They chose to go to Hawaii on their trip.  So happy they got to go. They brought me back a necklace made of shells from Hawaii. It is beautiful. A great rememberance of a wonderful Uncle and Aunt. I miss them both.
