Mrs. Hodnett was born March 3, 1932 in Heard County to the late Lem Howard Cash and Tommie Bonner Cash. She was a Christian by faith.
Before her retirement she worked at Superior Sample where she made carpet squares.
Although she had no children of her own, she had a deep love for them. She showered love on her husband’s children and grandchildren and dearly loved the children of her great-niece and nephew. Nothing gave her more joy than to cook a large meal and have the family gathered together.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed sewing and watching TV. Her favorite show was “Roseanne”.
Survivors include: two-stepdaughters: Debra Hoban of Michigan and Donna Perkins (Jeff) of Florida; three step-sons: Wayne Hodnett (Susan), Michael Hodnett (Chris) and Shane Hodnett (Gina) all of Michigan; fourteen step-grandchildren; a number of step-great-grandchildren; a special great-niece and great-nephew: Kathy Bryant and Steven Woodard; and a number of other relatives and friends.
