When I was little, I remember squirming around as grandma put me in the stroller. I wonder today how she dealt with me, running and jumping, and not complain once. Grandma will have a special place in my heart. She raised me with care when my parents were busy. She taught me the fundamentals of chinese. Because of her, I learned how to speak Chinese before I learned how to speak English. Seeing her slowly get weaker and weaker broke my heart. When she passed away, I was prepared, and I knew that it was what she wanted. She was free. I wasn't sad that she died, but because our family had lost such a dear member. She will live on forever, in a way.

I am very lucky to have a wonderful family, and it is always heartbreaking when a loved one passes away. My grandmother was a caring and loving person, and I could not have asked for anyone better to have been my grandmother. My only regret is not being able to visit her more often. I wish I could have spent more time with her, and now I cannot ever see her again.
