Chris remembers Yvonne on the church caravans supporting everyone and giving Chris some assistance and advice in reconstructing outhouses in the wilds of Appalachia. Almost always warm and friendly and occasionally stern when needed she was the substitute mother for a group of at times unruly youth.

Many years have passed and while our memories have dimmed our affection for the Bourners has not. Yvonne and Frank developed a real sense of community around a church that was much more than a place of worship, bringing together all ages to enrich each other’s lives.

Thankyou Yvonne for your time, your charity and your example to others.
