Since you left Citibank we have not communicated, but I never thought the next news I would receive about you will be a sad one. You were a responsible gentleman. May your soul rest in perfect peace and May the Almighy God comfort your young family and fill the gap you left behind.

The news of his death came as a shock to me, I wish it was a dream. My story in Keystone bank will not be complete without mentioning his name. He was a teacher and a mentor. May his soul rest in peace....

what a great man.The little time I had with him he demonstrated faith by holding on firmly to what he believe in Christ.
It is so sad you are not around to hear some of these words.
Am sure you are in a better place. We shall see again at the bossom of the Lord singing halleluyah

May your soul and souls of all the faithful departed continue to rest in peace amen

Met Akin Ibilola in our Masters class in Unilag in 1995 although he later left for Leeds on scholarship. He was a gentle, humble and highly cerebral guy; always impeccably dressed. He could perhaps very well have won the price for the quietest person in class. Didn't see him again until sometime in 2006 at a shopping mall in Ikeja.

Akin was an inspirational friend, study partner and confidant that I will forever remember and may God continue to guide the family he left behind. God knows best. Sleep tight, Akin.
