AF the Legend

Alo ooo... Aloo... Here’s the story of this gentleman and inspiration....
He was my first love, AF loved me to a fault. I could not do any wrong in his eyes. I remember growing up as a child and my mother would want to cane me for my misdeeds, AF would hide me under his agbada when my mum would be searching high and low the house.
AF endeared my interest in sports being a sports man himself. We had a table tennis table set in our garage growing up...
AF taught me to speak well. He would ensure we played scrabble to help build our vocabulary and also taught me to learn atleast two new words in the dictionary each day.
AF loved mathematics and this was where our issues emanated. He just could not understand why I was soo numbers adverse and that was the only point he lost his temper with me. I recall once when he said you would only be average in life if you continued in this manner and that resonated with me all through my growing up years. This made me resolve that I would prove this man wrong and made me strive for perfection in all I did. I was glad when he stated later in life to me that he was well pleased in me.
AF showered me with love and compliments, I didn’t have the “need” to search elsewhere...
AF was a rolling stone... this man chop life to the fullest holding no prisoners... If you know... you know The life of a party... The baba of the chop life gang. His “gulder” well into his 80s... AF Baba!!! I hail!! He loved Tiwa and Niniola’s music and dancing. I didn’t even know Niniola until AF told me about her...
AF was never forceful, he had a calm demeanor and never quick to anger... He always advocated peace.
AF had a gob on him, if he teased you, one could almost cry
I could go on and on with the fond memories. I can’t say I had the “best” dad, because you can’t be compared with any other in my eyes. I just loved the way you loved me which I would miss...
