Dear Daddy, I will always have fond memories of the weekends I spent with you, Mummy and Jumoke at Satellite. You were always so gracious, hospitable and welcoming. I recall the unusual customary Iyan and Obe we had for breakfast, your jovial and ever sunny nature and your ability to find laugher in any situation always had us in stiches. You will will forever be missed. Rest in peace Sir. You remain forever in the hearts of everyone whose lives you have touched.

Daddy Satellite as you were fondly called, you were very intelligent and funny. In fact you were one of the most intelligent people I know- Always current in politics etc. I remember when ‘Who wants to a millionaire’ was airing, you would get most, if not all the questions right during each episode. I will never forget your stories, and how you would tease us, anyone close to you can testify to this.

Daddy I will never forget your laughter because it was very contagious. We know you are resting now , we love and miss you.

Your departure remind me once again that our staying here is temporal. I was devastated on hearing the news of your demise Dad. You are not only just a dad to me but to millions who came across you on your sojourn on earth. You are a perfect gentleman, forthright fellow, mentor, giver, accommodative and lovable fellow. You took and looked after me as your own son. You gave me and my family shelter over our heads for over twenty years and even gave me a free hand to manage your property. I moved to my own house from yours dad. Infact, where I'm today couldn't have possible if not for God and coming to know a nice person like you Dad. You came to this world, you saw, you tasted, you conquered and now you have gone to be with your creator. I will for ever missed your smile, your gists, the histories of yesteryears ever fresh in your memory, your accuracy in quoting dates of events of over fifty years and your admonition/advice on any issue brought to you. Rest on Dad till we meet to part no more. Rest on in the bosom of your God Daddy Alfred Alabi Gogobioke omo eye woeye.........From your boy, your son OMOTAYO MICHAEL OPEYEMI and FAMILY( UNILAG)
