Mama Almead Folkes was definitely a Blessing to My Life. We shared a Beautiful relationship from 1973 until now. As her son in law it was always a wonderful and positive experience being in her presence and sharing our lives together. She was always encouraging and engaging and I felt a special closeness when I was able to be a help to her whenever she needed me. And I will cherish those memories until we meet again in that Heavenly Place. I know she had great Love for me and I'm sure she knew that I felt the same regarding her. What a Gift to have shared a pathway for a time with such a Sweet Soul. I will Love her Forever. That's My Baby !!!

Loving Thoughts From

George Folkes
The eldest son

I truly believe that Mommy's spirit was a delightful one and as a child I think there are 3 facts that jump out at me when I think of the love and the support and the understanding she was willing to give her oldest son. I believe mommy was the master of the one-on-one rapport, secondly mom believed in letting your talent shine and encouraged the role of a positive male in the family, this reminded her of her father, finally the opportunity to govern the last chapter of her life in a positive way was very easy due to her belief that you knew what was best for her that you would make sure that she would be safe and healthy and stay with her to the end as a loving caring child and her eldest son.

My assignment started September 1, 2008 until June 10, 2014 the total time was 6 years* 9 months*10 days...thank you God for opportunity to be a servant. As a black man in America and a Morehouse Man I'm proud to say... thank you God for a wonderful mom with a delightful spirit.

Sincerely Real,

I was introduced to Mrs. Almead Folkes by her daughter, Neisha. Although I never met her in person, I had the privilege of speaking with Mama Folkes over the phone on two occasions. Though our visit was brief it was very meaningful to me. It felt as if I had known her for years. I got to know several of her children since and consider them part of my family.

Her love and positive influence is evident in her family and friends. She led by example. Her commitment to excellence and never giving up on your dreams lives on, as the family she started, continues to grow and leave their mark on this world.

God Bless You Almead Folkes, May your legacy live on until we all meet again.

Darin Craddolph and family.

Our Mother who we hold dear to our hearts never truly leaves us. The love she brought into our lives is everlasting. We Loving her and she loving us is for eternity. And may we continue to Love through God's light as we move ahead. May we cherish the beauty of her memory. She blossomed spiritually and transformed at the right hand of the Heavenly Father. She left the legacy of LOVE, COMPASSION,HARD WORK and the importance of EDUCATION. Through her final stage of Life she became one with the creator and may she rest in peace. Blessings to ALL who's lives she touched.

                                 Lovingly,
Debra( one of her 5 children)
