Not a day goes by that you're not thought about. We had a special bond that started on a ship called the Bond, as we met on our way to Goose Bay, NL. You had the most tremendous, caring and generous heart of anyone.

Our time together was always cherished and will live on in my memory forevermore. Our travel and exploration of new places and finding those special spots to take in the scenery, share a special meal, debate social issues, talk about our careers and share dreams. Spending some time building woodworking projects, you loved to learn and face challenges . You we're fearless and tackled everything with a can do spirit which was infectious. You loved to drive convertible muscle cars, boats and explored many beaches.

You spent many of your days giving to others, volunteering, personally helping others in need, caring for your father Don and your mom, Enid when they needed you most and ahead of your own needs, shows just how caring and loving lady you were.

I miss you everyday. Forever remembered with love and a smile.

Anne was my boss and a good friend. I miss her dearly, she was always so caring and kind to everyone she met.

A Quote Anne Aberdeen gave me when I was bullied at my workplace:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. You playing small does not serve the world. This is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. Its not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others”

On behalf of David Bird;

Below is my memorial celebration for Anne

Anne was a superb friend. She was kind, wise insightful and very very passionate. She was an incredibly generous person with a big heart and a lot of love for people. She will be dearly missed. She was a lot of fun and full of a wonderful joy with a great sense of humor. She was also a good listener with a sensitive soul for people who were a bit fragile like myself. I would like to have shared life with her for 20 more years. Life is so short. I hope all of her friends and family benefit for the rest of time from her spirit which will last forever. Anne was also an invincible explorer with courage and belief in doing the impossible, and proving all the time that the imagination can be very powerful, and stronger than doubt. I will miss her dearly and i think of her all the time.

Peace and love Anne,

David

What a beautiful tribute to a lovely lady. Anne was such a kind, generous and helpful person. I am so thankful that my mom had a friend like, Anne. A true friend who was really there for her over some trying times. To know that her ashes will be spread at a lake is so fitting, anyone who knew Anne, knew that she loved the beach and the water. I can’t imagine she would have it any other way. May she rest in peace.

You will be missed dearly Anne.
I literally can still hear your voice in my mind . . .
. . . we had so many long conversations over the years.
Honestly, every room of our house has objects that remind us of you and our times together.

You will be missed dearly.

Dear Anne,

I will always be thankful for that day in Westport when we chatted and laughed so easily. Thinking we were strangers we then realized we knew each other from years gone by and had shared the joy of being a student at Sydenham High.

Our shared love and enjoyment of a great breakfast spot and cafes was shared to few times after reuniting but I will always treasure those chats we so easily got lost in.

You listened and shared your heart. In a way so few do. You made me feel valued. I will always keep that tucked in my heart, thank you.

Save me a spot at the table in your favourite heavenly cafe! I know I will love it too! Until then may you bask in the sun on beautiful beaches, and enjoy the tranquilizing crash of the waves hitting the shore until night falls. xo
