Your lil sis, Jane
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Barbara Emond, 69, born on May 9, 1946 and passed away on January 16, 2016. We will remember her forever.
Barbara was born to the late John Lee Collinson and Helen Louise Collinson on May 9th, 1946. She is survived by her Aunty Betty (Eaton) McBride, Aunty Betty (Collinson) McDonald, and her Uncle David Eaton.
Barbara attended Dighton- Rehoboth Regional High, Class of 1962. She remained in the Rehoboth area working for Engelhard and Bliss Manufacturing until the late 80’s; when she relocated to Sanford.
Family and friends were Barbara’s passion and delight. She passed on her strong New England values for family gatherings and cook outs; including “Chowda”, the Rhode Island Red of course. Additionally, Barbara deeply enjoyed crafting. She co-operated a small crafting business based out of Sanford’s Flea World and could be found quite frequently at any of the many arts and crafts festivals across Central Florida. She was still hand crocheting washcloths to pass her time in recent months.
Barbara is survived by her husband Richard Emond, sister Jane Collinson (Paul Eddy) Swenson, nieces and nephews Karen (Ronnie) Madalena, Tracy (Mike) Lombardy, Garry Swenson, great nieces and nephews, Kristina Camp, Makaila and Seth Lombardy, and Marty Swenson, four children Lori (John) LaRose, John (Susan) Emond, Richard (Tammy) Emond, Helen (Richard) Baker, nine grandchildren Ryan, Becky, Andrea, Ashley, Shannon, Delani, Tyler, Courtney, and LeAnna, and six great grandchildren Hayden, Daliha, Jay Jay, Logan, Emma, and Riley. She also leaves behind numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Barbara requested a private cremation and family ceremony. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last illness.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Big Sis Six years have gone by since you left us and miss you every day. I was imagining you, mommy and daddy and Richard hanging out on your special day and Mother’s Day the day before. Miss you all very much! See ya when I see ya
I sure do wish you were here with me. You moved to heaven and I moved to Florida. We could have spent so much more time with each other. It wasn’t to be. I appreciate and am greatful for the precious time we had before your passing. See you in heaven With Love , your little sister❤️
But I am happy KNOWING you are in heaven at peace with family and our precious Jesus. I love our meetings at the beach every morning, and the messages you send me. Whether it be a Angel in the sky or a heart stone, or just feeling your presence near me. Until we are together again, you will always be in my heart.
With Love from your Little Sister❤️❤️️
So sorry for the loss of your wife and my sister Barbara. You two were together over 50 years. That's a tribute in itself. I know how much you loved her, and you will miss her dearly, but know she is now with the angels and free of pain. Love, Jane
