Today would have been my Cousin Barbara's 70th birthday, she is now reunited with her beloved husband Richard in the loving arms and heavenly abode of our Lord, Jesus Christ! How beautiful is that image? How beautiful is that birthday gift of reunion with Richard ? Death is not morbid, although it is certainly difficult for us left behind, for them it is a joyful and rewarding end to a life's journey culminating in the incomprehensible beauty, joy and grace of meeting our savior. The other day, my wife Adele and I lit a candle for them at Our Lady of Mercy Church in E. Greenwich, R.I. Only 3 other candles were lit, twinkling softly with a yellow flame in their blue votive glass holders. Upon returning to a pew to pray, I looked over at their candle. It was burning with a ultra bright blue white light with what appeared to be two points of flame. How beautifully warm and profound. When we left the church and I glanced back at the candle, it was still brightly burning. I think God was telling us everything is OK. God Bless you all.. Bill and Adele Stott
