I remember Beverly with deep affection - both from the time that she was my Girls Brigade Captain when I was a teenager at St John's and, in later life, when I arrived as a minister in the East Anglia District and she was asked to support me over a difficult pastoral issue. The way she recovered from the horrific accident was amazing and inspirational. My siblings and I last saw her a year or two ago when she called on us as we were visiting my uncle in Beaconsfield Close, we had a lovely conversation. On behalf of my late parents (and I know that my father as minister of St Johns in the 60's/70's valued the support of both Philip and Beverly very much) and on behalf of Ruth, Monica, Jeremy and myself, we send love, condolences and prayers to Philip, Sally, Tim and the family.
