Friends

January 4, 2021
Childhood friends are forever. You never forget them. Robert was my first boyfriend - you never really forget your first boyfriend do you? He used to write me poems and leave them under the garbage pail. It’s funny the things you remember. We all have many great memories from that time on Cambreleng Ave and when you lose someone they all come flooding back. Robert or B-Boy as everyone called him is part of all those memories. He was a very serious person - loved deeply - lived intensely - a beautiful musician. His music speaks to many. Rest In Peace. Love you my friend. Xoxo

My childhood friend.

January 1, 2021
Beeb and I grew up next door to each other in the Bronx. We went all through grammar school together. He and his best friend, Albert Attianese, were my childhood friends. They were also the bane of my existence. They loved to torment the girls on the block and were very good at it.
Needless to say, we eventually grew up, kind of made peace and became friends. Beebs and his band, the Little Guys, played at mine and my sister’s sweet sixteen party. He even stepped up and offered to take me to my senior prom when my husband, then boyfriend, was in the military and wasn’t able to.
Although we lost touch over the years, as friendships often do, we reconnected 7 or 8 years ago, and we went back to our bantering as if time never passed.  Throughout his illnesses, Beebs was always able to make me laugh with his snarky remarks.
Bboy, at times, could be stubborn and pigheaded but he was also sensitive and kind. He had a generous nature and was loyal to a fault. I will miss him dearly
