Madam Comfort Afinbiowo Biography

February 18, 2021
Madam Comfort Afinbiowo Oladutemu; nee Olugbile Ojongbede was born in Ipele, Owo local government, on July 21st 1923. She was born into the family of late Pa Abel Olugbile Ojongbede and late Madam Felicia Arobo Ojongbede of blessed memories. She was the third of the six children of the late Pa and Madam Olugbile.

She was married to the late Mr. Johnson Oladutemu. The union was blessed with (six) children. (She did her best to raise them in the fear of the Lord, as her husband passed on much earlier in life when their last child was a toddler.)

She was a cotton farmer and cloth weaver, a trade she learned from her mother at a relatively young age. She went into full-time cloth weaving trade as a profession. She was the go-to person for Aso-Oke until her retirement. (She devoted much of her retirement, to helping take care of some of her many grandchildren.)

She was a devoted Christian during her lifetime, as evidenced by her regular church attendance, and active participation in church activities. She was a prayerful woman. Her routine included praying before going to bed at night and waking up very early in the morning to pray on her knees, until day break. (Even recently in her 90's, she requested for an alarm clock to help wake her up to keep her daily devotions.)

She passed on to eternity with the Lord on February 7th 2021. She was survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other extended family members.

She will be gravely missed by all those she left behind.
