David's favorite photo
This is David's favorite photo of himself that I took.
He always said it flattered him and made him look rather handsome.
(which he thought he was not)
He made me promise that this photo would appear in his obituary notice.
David loved the background music playing 'My Heart Will Go On'. (theme from Titanic)
He grew up loving County and Western until we watched 'Titanic', and I encouraged him to listen to the words.
He grew to love this song after listening to the lovely lyrics a few times.
He told me he wanted 'Amazing Grace' and 'My Heart Will Go On' played at his services.
Tabby
David's beloved little tabby girl, Katy.
This is from a book of all David's cats that I made for him
The book was composed of photos that I took of all David's cats, along with quotes
from famous cat lovers, the world over throughout the ages. He loved it and said it was one of the best gifts he had ever received.
Unfortunately, the book was taken from David's home after his demise
DAVE GETS KISS FROM GOAT
One night David and I visited a petting zoo in Corpus Christi. A cute goat came up to Dave, began licking him on the face and nuzzling his neck. It was so cute and funny!
David found it hilarious. I don't think I've ever seen David smile so big and laugh so hard. Adorable picture of David, (one of my very favorites) and one of the very fun times we had together.

How Dave learned to love cats
For some reason, when I met Dave he told me he'd always hated cats.
In fact whenever a stray came around his house, he'd trap it and take it to the pound.
That all changed one night when he was at my apartment.
Dave observed I had a new baby part persian kitten wandering around the living room
He remarked, 'There's something wrong with that d--- cat. It can't walk straight. It keeps falling over'.
I said, 'Dave, it's a baby. It falls because it's just like a human baby. It's just learning to walk'.
I put the kitten in his lap, and he said to get that d--- thing away from him.
I put the kitten up next to his cheek and told him to hold her.
He did and she began to purr.
He said, 'It's a soft little thing, isn't it'?
Much to my surprise, he began to hold her and pet her.
I suggested he get a kitten of his own and he was a widower of about a year and often lonely.
We went to a pet shop and found Katy, a tiny, half persion tabby girl.
It was love at first sight.
She spent many hours on his lap when he watched TV, and snuggled in bed with him at night while he slept. She gave him many hours of pleasure and gave him the love that had been so sorely lacking in his life.
He ended up with five indoor cats- strays who came to his home.
He often made fun of me for buying lottery tickets.
I once asked him what he'd do if he won the lottery.
He said, 'Buy more cats'.
I laughted, but I'm sure he wasn't joking. He always wanted to buy one of the exotic cat breeds.
He did manage to get an 'exotic' cat, a Bengal that came to his house one day and 'adopted' him. He named her 'Tabby'. She was so beautiful.
Unfortuately, after David's demise, the Bengal was taken by an individual who attempted to sell her. From all accounts, Tabby refused to accept the new owner, and had to be reclaimed. I found this most amusing.
