We heard from many of you the wish to contribute to the cost of the ceremony and funeral service of David.

As board of the fellowship we fully and heartily agree. Corrie also has extra costs for the live-streaming for the funeral service, so people residing elsewhere can attend.

Lieve broers en zussen,

Van verschillende kanten hebben we gehoord dat men graag wil bijdragen in de kosten van de begrafenis van Dave.

Als bestuur zijn we het daar natuurlijk van harte mee eens! Corrie heeft ook extra uitgaven voor de live-streaming van de uitvaartdienst waardoor mensen in het buitenland mee kunnen luisteren en kijken.

It was early 1974, we met at a  Wednesday night service in South Berwick, ME.  Our eyes met and after you came up to me and introduced yourself.  You had such a gentle spirit.  We became fast friends and then over the next few months we became more.  You were my first love. We were together for about a year.  We made plans for a future but over time God had a different plan.  You went to France and then to Holland and you met your beautiful Corrie.  I went to Florida and I met my Christopher.  We touched one another's lives on a few occasions and I was always happy to hear from you.  Then years had passed and about a week before you passed I heard from you.  It was such a joy to hear from you and your tender and kind heart once again reached out and touched mine.  You told me how much you loved being a Dutchy and how you loved the country that was now your home.  You made my heart happy and you gave your love and best wishes to my husband and me.  I wish I knew you were ill.  It was such a shock hearing of your passing into glory.  I was so grateful for the brief moment we had shared of our lives, it was as a gift from God to my heart, to me it was like your way of saying goodbye.  I will forever be thankful for the time we spent together so long ago.  You touched my life in a deep way and had changed it forever. You were the kindest, most generous and gentle man I had ever known.  May God comfort and bless your precious family as only He can. Rest easy in heaven now my dear gentle friend.  May your memory always be a blessing to others.  I will always think of you with great affection.  Thank you for blessing my life and thank you for the gentle way you said goodbye.  Love always, Angie
