Again this year we recognized Dorinda's passing on the local NPR station (KNAU Flagstaff), just heard one.. We (Mr. Tip and I) will hold a tribute here on the Prairie. Her several trees are all growing up now 5 foot high and reaching for the sky. Thank you all for your kind messages. Ted

I don't think I ever thanked you Dorinda, for all of those wonderful HR seminars we shared and the bright light you always brought to a room. So, Thank You with love which I know you feel.

I felt your presence as I skied in your honor yesterday. Thinking about you and feeling gratitude I had you in my life for such a big part of mine. You are forever loved.

Can hardly believe it's been 4 years...I remember when you asked me, "what's your favorite dog, of all the breeds?" I said "border collies, without a doubt." Thank you for leaving a legacy for all those doggy guys. I so thank you for those last conversations. after you left, the song," Diamond Girl...sure do shine", kept running through my mind. Wherever you are, you sure do shine.

Dorinda, there is not a day that goes by that you don't cross my mind. On the third year anniversary of your passing my first grandchild was born. I can't help but think you sent me something to smile about on this day and I thank you.

Dearest Dorinda, It seems like yesterday and it seems like forever ago since we had the delight of speaking with you, sharing time with you and having fun with you. I am so thankful for the time we spent together 3 months before you departed: Blake's high school graduation. Be sure to visit on Dad's 90th birthday!

in my brief time up in Flagstaff this summer I visited the arboretum ...you were definitely around me when all the penstemon greeted me.

You are present during many moments in my life irregardless of space differerence. I come to feel that the elsewhere is not that far but rather where we locate it in our hearts.That said I believe you are at peace, although I have no proof. This universe seems to have no weaver but the web we weave with authenticity and care hold us firmly and provide the threads we need in order to deal with all that life throws at us. I am sure grateful for its generosity as welll as its challenges. Growth is dynamic and wild by nature and the pain, that comes with it inescapable - isn't it?

I know less than ever but live life fuller. I am finding the center of myself pleasantly empty. No need for religion nor belief of any sorts, yet the sense of having to maintain a daily practice of kindness paired with humor.You would appreciate that...

On the first of September, Jon and me went up to Sedona for a day remembering our wedding 16 years ago. I am so glad you were our officionado - we thank you for that every year!

I miss laughing with you for sure. I don't go to the movies ever without you. Perhaps I should again. I am so very happy that the prairie has unfolded puppy love and human love again and know you are in acceptance. All is well. All is well my friend.

It is indeed the third anniversary of Dorinda's passing. A sad day for us all. Here on the Prairie it is also a time of new beginnings, a new dog in my life who is a 14 week old Irish Setter puppy Mr. Tipperary (Mr. tip) in my life.

Dorinda, we miss you SO much, but in many ways, you're with us as strongly today as ever. We think of you every day when we're reading the day's "Mutts" strip, and we're reminded of you in every moment of whimsy that filters through our lives - we're certain those precious moments are sent by you!

I just realized we can lay flowers as well instead of lighting a candle...so I will lay a flower this time, it seems right. Everything is in bloom now Dorinda, you would like it, no more frost expected - when I do the spring planting next week I will plant happiness for you - - -
You are "so !" missed, I think you know that.

It was an unusually warm day here in Parks, no snow. One of Dorinda's favorite bears spent the day at her memorial, she is indeed forever missed.

Dear Dorinda ~ Two years on, and your inspiration and example are as strong as ever. Graham and I and miss you more than words can express, and we think of you often (especially while reading the daily "Mutts" strip). My daughter Sarah and I were just talking last week about how the Prairie is just not the same without Dorinda here. How we miss her smile and her energy that just lit up the prairie. Sarah commented that of all the people she has had to let go of in her young life, Dorinda has been the hardest.Dorinda reached out to this young girl and made her her buddy and as Sarah grew she was there for her to help her heal from the trauma that she had experienced in such a short life. What the evil meant for destruction of Sarah, God used Dorinda to help turn it around. Sarah will be 18 soon and is thriving and Dorinda we thank you for your love and support. We will miss you forever until we meet again. See you when we get there "Sunshine"!

Dorinda. 19. Just coming into her own. Living with us in Italy on the top floor of the Conte e Contessa's house. England in Nuthatch. Was a confident and friend to my mum. A breath of kindness and gentleness to me. It seems that each day subsequently you lived in truth, filled with spirit, affecting all who crossed your path. You fell deep into people's hearts and lives and hence your physical presence leaving only diminishes their lives slightly as your deeper spirit stays within as a candle burning always. Such a wonderful gift sweet dorinda. Say hi to Mum.

D-I know you are probably aware as you dance in the light but I wanted to send a note to put in writing that the Mutts strips have been paid for (thanking Ted) and your book will be printed soon! Yippee!

Precious Dorinda, This September has been so difficult without your physical presence to enjoy and receive inspiration from. But lest I forget that the physical is only a small part of the story, you visited me: First, your photo wafted down from my dresser - no breeze, just out of the blue. It is not yet framed. Ten minutes later, a photo of saguaros fell to the floor from my refrig.
