I remember a smiling little boy
Playing basketball with my brothers and his friends
Joking and laughing and plenty sweatin'
Talking lots of junk and always getting
In a fix, stealing a ball and lying and flying
Missing the basket, taking off shirts
Robert, Doug and my big brother Curt
Thinking about him sure does hurt, but good memories
Out weigh the bad
Back in the day was some of the best times we ever had
Eating cooking, cake and sipping ice cold coke
Stopping to rest and telling more stale jokes
Those boys turned into some wonderful men
Went their separate ways but the friendship never ends
Even though one is gone and will be missed
I remember that smiling little boy, laughing, joking, playing.
