On November 11, 2016, the world lost a wonderful, caring man.
I was blessed to meet Douglas early this year at an ACRP Board meeting. Immediately, I felt the warmth, caring, and humor I soon came to know was Douglas. Over the ensuing months, I had the good fortune to work closely with Douglas in serving ACRP. His tireless service was impressive and admirable.
It probably was not even an hour after meeting him for the first time that he mentioned his daughter, Kayla. He glowed with pride and love for her.
We can count ourselves blessed to have even one genuine friend who is willing to put everything he has into his family and friends. I counted Douglas as such a friend and, along with many others, will miss him dearly.
