Mr. Edward Shakes was an education and training professional with over 30 years of experience in the post-secondary and tertiary sectors where he has held various senior administrative and management positions. His long and distinguished career in educational leadership raised the bar for his colleagues, students, and faculty alike. 

Mr.  Shakes took on the reigns of Principal at the GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport in August 2009 and has left an unmistakable design for the growth and development of the institution. He will be remembered for his infinite patience and his empathetic nature which allowed him to navigate and understand the diverse staff and students he served.
