Dear Eld, our sincerest condolences.

Regrettably we are in an age where these things happen, from your description of his health it may have been a blessing for him.

May he rest in peace.

Scott, Phyllis, Lyn and Eldon, I am so sorry for you and the family about Ernie's passing. I guess it is the best for everybody but still it hurts a lot. I have so many good memories of Ernie and will think of him forever. I am spending time with my adult family during Christmas. This reminds me to think so much about gratitude and I know I am a lucky man.
I hope you all get strength through all this. Thank you for letting me know about Ernie.
Thank you,
John D.

Seems like it was just yesterday you sat around the hunt camp table in YOUR chair Bro. Like it was yesterday you walked to The Oak, or up The Sheep hill in the dark, in search for a 12 pointer. Like yesterday your outstretched hand was there for me to grip... We had a lot of good memories together and they remind me all the time how blessed I was to have a Big Brother so generous, so kind, so patient, so everything. You helped me in so many ways and so many times I could never forget or return the favors. You still walk with me every day Bro, and I love the feeling of your hand on my shoulder. Rest in peace now Bro. Your watch is done.

On Monday, December 19th, 2022; a large group of former "Crain" employees, met for Christmas Breakfast...  One of many things was missing, and that was Ernie Gaw, and his broad brimmed Cowboy style Hat, along with his pleasant conversation, and obvious care.
Yes; I'm sure everyone missed Ernie.  I know that I did. I will never forget him.

Like Ernie, most of us grew up working at R.L. Crain. He was a great guy!
