My Génie, words cannot describe the depth of the heartache reverberating around the world at your untimely departure. Our only consolation is having known you and experienced your warm nature, giving heart and infectious laughter. I will sorely miss traversing the compound with you. Thank you for your guidance on how to be an exemplary mother and friend.

To Gil and the family, take comfort in knowing that while it may not always be clear, God has a plan and has given you all the strength and tools to be able to manage through this difficult time.

May Eugenia's soul rest in peace.

You have gone too soon Eugenia You were a woman and half working with you was enjoyable. You were flexible anytime we need your support. I will always miss you personally. May God comfort your family and bring peace to all her colleagues and friends. Rest with Angeles.

Oh Eugene.. I can't believe you left us for heavenly abode.
Eugene was an outgoing personality in reaching out to anyone in crisis situation at work front. As a senior management personnel of the contractor who operated the UN Commissary during 2000 to 2015, I interacted with Eugene at COU in shipment clearance matters. She assisted us enormously in timely manner. I shall cherish such memories for life long as UN is a golden leaf in my book of professional experience. May the Lord bless Eugene's soul rest in eternal peace.

Hey sweetie, this was the charming greeting which accompanied your smiling face every time we met.
You spread happiness for all the years when you were here on this mortal land. Now it is God’s turn to give you all the happiness in return as you go holding his hand.
Forever gone but not forgotten, forever in our memories. Rest In Peace. Amen

as we always refer each other "Unit 3 rep" i hold a lot of memories and lessons from you. You thought me a lot about staff welfare and how to value work. to work professionally and with integrity.
"I am always saddened by the death of a good person. It is from this sadness that a feeling of gratitude emerges. I feel honoured to have known you and blessed that your passing serves as a reminder to me that my time on this beautiful earth is limited and that I should seize the opportunity I have to forgive, share, explore, and love. I can think of no greater way to honour you than to live this way" The gift you gave me i will hold on to it for the longest time possible.Go well my unit rep, be with the angels.

Death is painful to imagine and very hard to live through it.
Eugenea was a charming soul and very tough at the same time.
I remember my interactions with her during my internship days at COU where her motherly instincts were always at play.
May the family be comforted during this difficult time.
May Eugenea's soul rest in eternal peace.

REST IN PEACE, IN CHRIST’S LOVE. ALWAYS LOVED EUGENIA

My heart still aches with sadness, and many tears still flow. What it means to lose you, not just a great colleague but a better friend and Dada (Sister), is what we always called each other. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. You were always instrumental in your work - loving, tough and you always stood your ground and defended the rules and regulations of the UN. Whoever said death was the hard part was wrong. Letting go and realizing I will never see or hear from you again is even harder. Our friendship can never truly die because I will keep its flame alive. Your spirit lives on in the memories within my heart.

It was a pleasure to know and work with you Eugenia. A great caring staff representative, a jovial colleague and a person who never shied to say things as they are no matter what. We will miss you...but now that you have left, we will keep soldering on with your ideologies and hope that when you look down, you will smile. Keep resting...keep resting.

Gone too Soon
Like a comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon
Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon
Shiny and sparkly
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night
Like the loss of sunlight
On a cloudy afternoon
Gone too soon
Like a castle
Built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon
Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night
Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon

Remember Me

Remember me when flowers bloom
Early in the spring
Remember me on sunny days
In the fun that summer brings

Remember me in the fall
As you walk through the leaves of gold
And in the wintertime - remember me
in the stories that are told

But most of all remember
Each day - right from the start
I will be forever near
For i live within your hearts

A wonderful lady without borders who said what she said, did what she said and meant what she said in the fewest words possible. May the mighty Lord rest her soul in eternal peace and grant the family the strength to over come=Amen.

Not as a former Chief of COU but as someone who had a very special connection with my 'little one' as I always called Eugene - I pay tribute to a very special lady.

It was an instant locking of hearts when Josie Villamin first introduced us In 1992. I took Eugene under my protective wing to run the UN Gift Shop. It took Eugene's energetic and creative gifts  to transform a small area with only T-shirt to eventually moving to a large and very attractive Gift Shop!  It's success was mainly due to Eugene's open and friendly character that enticed Diplomats and Representatives  to do all their shopping under one roof!!  This included former UN Secretary General and Mrs. Kofi Annan.

Eugene was an example of peace, tranquility, good humour and laughter.  Fly high, dearest little one and you will be received with all the love and joy that you spread when you were with us!  We will always remember and never forget!!
