His Life
October 29, 2017

Zeke was born November 27, 1991 in Newnan to Scott Michael Bailey and Angelia Dawn “Angie” Hornsby Bailey. He was a member of Centralhatchee First Baptist Church.

Zeke never met a stranger and had an infectious personality that made him a friend to many. He was always into something, whether it was “drowning worms” in his favorite fishing hole, the Centralhatchee Creek, riding four wheelers, driving his truck, or hunting game. He loved to spend time with his friends.

He held a special place in his heart for his extended family. He was especially proud of his nieces: Maddison, Liara, and Sophia, who called him “Zeke Bo”.

He loved to study and learn more about the universe around him. He gazed at the stars at night and wondered what else there was to see in the cosmos. One image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in particular amazed him – the Deep Field Image – which revealed countless galaxies and stars waiting to be explored. He looked forward to the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope and the potential discoveries that instrument may reveal.

A life taken much too soon, Zeke will be missed by his family and friends. His wry smile and dry wit would always light up the room when he walked in.

Survivors include: his girlfriend, Kayla Walker; his parents, Scott and Angie Bailey; grandparents: Dana Bailey and Etsel and Toby Hornsby; brother, Chant Bailey; nieces: Maddison, Liara, and Sophia Bailey; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Bailey.
