Always in my heart and terribly missed. The number of years makes no difference…

In late 1974 and early 75, Frank and I used to spend hours and hours sitting on the fence outside of the Red Barn on the campus of Clemson University, talking and laughing about all kinds of stuff. Interesting because neither one of us was especially extroverted. I remember those times like they were yesterday, and it seemed like they would never end. Bob Dylan once wrote a song (Bob Dylan's Dream) concerning the first few friends he had and how they would spend time together talking and laughing. The song closes with the lyrics "10,000 dollars at the drop of a hat, I'd give all gladly if our lives could be like that." Miss ya Buddy!

Frank and I became friends in college when he was a roommate of my cousin. We met at Johnstone Hall at Clemson University and when I met him - yes he had that cup of coffee in his hand. We shared some of the same classes in school and often hiked the Clemson Forest. We some how ended up the same Public Speaking Class and always shared a lot of laughs of that experience. After college I witnessed his growth in his career with the state park system . I visited with him at Oconee State Park, Hunting Island, Greenwood , and Kings Mountain. We had a lot of fond memories of these visits and he was a dear friend and a great asset to the state park system. I saw him interact with many people and he never treated them with less than dignity and respect. Rest well my friend and we miss you.

Sorry to hear about Frank's passing. I met Frank in 1972 and he was a very dear friend. I never saw Frank get angry in all our years together. He was very composed, a true brother, and I will miss him greatly. My family loves you Frank and we have many wonderfully memories of our times together. Maura, Augusta, and Christian we pray for you at this time - your husband and father was the best.

Our hearts are absolutely broken...but I am grateful that God gave me a love that was sweeter than a fairy tale. My prince charming swept me off my feet, protected me, adored me and loved me like no other. How lucky I am to have experienced such complete joy and harmony. Thank you Lord for my dear Frank and our children, Augusta and Christian. We have been blessed.

This is the most beautiful tribute to Frank. Words cannot adequately convey how we all feel. But we hope you can feel the prayers of comfort that are being raised up for you and your children. ANYTHING you need, you know you can ask us.

I feel that there is no better way to honor his life and show the world what a great person Frank was, than to show photos of him being just what he was - a great father, a loving husband, a wonderful friend. I know this will bring you comfort on the road ahead. Maura, Augusta and Christian - please know how much you all are loved and prayed for and we mourn with you the loss of such a great man.

Seeing the dozens of people at the Funeral Home today is a testament to Frank and how many people knew what a wonderful human being your husband and father was. I hope you can find comfort in the days ahead. It is hard when people pass and harder still when we think it is too soon.  My thoughts and prayers go to you Maura, Augusta and Christian. Frank will always be in our hearts.
