ForeverMissed

My Observations of Time
Written By: Gene Sloan

If Today was Yesterday’s Tomorrow --And --Today is Tomorrow’s Yesterday
Then
Today is the Past of the Future --And -- Today is the Future of the Past
Since the living always know that there is a Today -- and --Not all of us had a Yesterday
And not all of us will have a Tomorrow
Then ~ Today we should say “I Love You” and “I’m Sorry” to the Loved Ones in our lives and the people that we have journeyed together , this road of Life.
Life is too short for arguments, or to air differences in opinions or to try to change loved ones views on matters that don’t mean anything to anyone and will not alter life as we all know it
Respect the differences in mankind, Embrace and rejoice in the similarities and never speak wrong against the people , friends or family that help you get through each day of your life.
Failure to comply to the above, will result in sadness, loneliness, heart ache, missed opportunities and future memories.
I have seen in my life, the independence of loved young parents as well as the dependency of loved old parents
I have seen in my life, the dependency of young loved children to loving elders and the independency of young children to loved elders where care transfers to each.
Real family Love is not negotiable, it is not for sale, nor can it be revoked or resolved for any reason. You can dislike the views or comments of family members, but you can never hate that family member, that you truly love,  regardless of the circumstance.
Get everyone you love through life, no matter what...

I miss you every day, Baby Blue Jeans. You always had a way to create happiness for me. How I miss your impersonations of the Cowardly Lion and Felix The Cat. Just remembering makes me laugh. I know that you are with us. We just can't see you. I hear you though! Save a piece of Sanders caramel cake for me up there. I know you are stealing forkfuls from the plates of the Saints. Just thinking of you with your cake fork cracks me up.

Happy Birthday Dad... I found myself so many times today wondering what things would be like today if you we're still here with us. Celebrating your 60 years, continuing with our family birthday traditions and all the memories that would have been made these past five years. The pain of you being gone stings so much more when I think of how you would of loved your 2 grandsons so much and what an amazing grandfather you would of been to them. I know though, that you have left me with all the tools I need to raise them with to have good integrity, morals, and the kind of character that makes people just want to be around you more. Thank you for always being there for me, even when I was difficult, never giving up, and making sure you could get through to me everything YOU KNEW you needed me to know. I couldn't of asked for a better teacher, friend and father. I love you.

3 years ago my heart was literally blown apart- the hole is still there but my memories are carrying me through. I went to a special Mass this morning and offered it for you, Eugene Patrick (you were always so proud you were named after both our parents) You live on in my song and always in my heart- till we meet again

Still Missed

Shared by Tim Vanover on April 4, 2013

Its been over 4 years. I still think of him often. I worked with Gene at his last job and became good friends. He was a very admirable man. You can tell this that after all this time I still think of him often. At the time I am writing this I was the 2,554 viewer of this page so I am sure others have too. I know he loved his family immensely. Talked of them often and I told him of mine. There isn't a St Pattys day that goes by that I don't think of him. One of the stories he told was of the good times he had on St Pattys day. He taught me this lymric and I will never forget it.

There are ships made of wood
There are ships made of steel
These are the ships that sail the seas
But the best ships
Are friendships
And may they ever be.

THE "GENE STATUE" DEDICATION

Shared by an unknown on November 12, 2012

This wonderous piece of architecture (in the backdrop) was designed and built by Geno. After his death and at the request of his family it was dismantled and rebuilt in another location (by these loyal subjects) to honor and live on in Trig-Man history. In accordance of course with all of Gene's design and builds this particular piece is rated: catagory 5 hurricane wind tolerant.

I know geno as a brother he is my cousin  we stayed overnight at the altedeana (or how ever it is spelled)  home many times and he stayed at mine every chance we could. after family getogethers I grew up with geno he was my age and he was my mothers brothers oldest son I was the old est and my cuz bernie was uncle bernie"s oldest. The time we shared would take 3 books to try to complete. I love Geno. I remember so much of us growning up with a love of the outdoors inflicted on us by our grandmother Lucille and her cottage these memories I treasue and remember vividily. we spent so much time as kids and yound adults my cousins know I just have to say Sand pit. and they know. Clarks, Neallys pub, riding motor cross where the Silverdome is. Red run park  Bon fires at the lake willow trees Family    Family  Close Love  He is some body that always made yoe feel important I am crying. I fished and hunted with him. Some how as all would feel you were the the most important to him because I did every time I was around. I am almost sorry that I moved away because I did not stay close to him yet every time we met it was like we never were apart and I dot feel that way now.
