Today's the anniversary
Of the day we lost you,
And for a time it felt as though
Our lives had ended too.
But loss has taught us many things
And now we face each day,
With hope and happy memories
To help us on our way.
At times we our filled with sadness
That you're no longer here,
Your influence still guides us
And we still feel you near.
What we shared will never die
It lives within our hearts,
Bringing strength and comfort
While we are apart.
We love you, miss you, and cherish you... always and forever.

Yes you are gone from our sight but not from our hearts. God continues to bless us with loving thoughts of you.
My deepest condolences to you from Chicago, as I just learned this morning that Geneva passed away last year. She was always kind and was a dear friend to my mom, Iola McGowan, who proceeded her in death.
May God continue to bless you and may her spirit live on through you.
To the Jones Family,
Don't grieve for me for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone will stay that way,
I found that peace at close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I, too, will miss.
But not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life has been full, I've savoured much.
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief,
Lift up you hearts and share with me,
God wanted me now,
He set me free.
In prayer,

Life is but a stopping place,a pause in whats to be, a resting place along the way,We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay......Our destination is a place far greater than we know. For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey;s slow.and when the journey ends Geneva will claim a great reward and find an everlasting peace together with Rosial and The Lord. I pray that God will continue to bless your family and keep his arms around all of you. Rest in Peace my Friends.
Isaiah 58:11 - The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs. . . You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:9 - Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way
Many moons ago Geneva adopted me as her sister and said "you are the sister I do not have." Over the years, we have spent many sleepless nights talking all night when we traveled together with Ann Lansey. Geneva was an angel sent by God and an inspiration in the lives of many. She will be surely miss, but God felt her work on earth was done. Let's praise God for the wonderful memories. May our Lord comfort and give peace to each of you. She was a blessing to all who knew her.
"One Day At A Time"
Peace and Blessing.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am sorry for your great loss. I worked with your mom for six years, 1983-1989. She was a delight! She was a warm, loving, giving, gentle woman. God blessed her. She is with God now. I will think of her often.

Don't think of her as gone away - her journey's has just begun, life holds so many facets - this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing that we could know today; how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched...for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.
In times of tears remember the laughter.
In times of sadness remember the smiles.
In times of loneliness remember all you shared.
Hope it helps you to know you'll always have those warm, loving memories forever. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family; may God give you the strength and peace to stay strong!
Loving thoughts from the Henderson Family!
Be Blessed!!

Once, clearly distracted, she got my name wrong and called me “Patrick,” and I just winked. It became something of a running joke between us. Geneva was someone who found joy among the storms of fearful and insecure people we encounter in our lives. That joy is her gift, and she shared that gift liberally and generously. And I thank her for it.
An angel lived among us,
A gift from God above.
She showered us with kindness
And shared with us her love.
A contagious laugh and a smile so bright
You were so beautiful in everyone’s sight
An angel came down and took you by the hand
It may be many years until we understand
She cherished every moment
With the man who was her life;
They now walk together hand in hand
Into eternal life.
She loved her children and grandchildren dearly,
Each one a different way,
Nestled close within her heart.
Though, now, she’s far away.
She’s gone to live with Jesus.
But, she’s here with us, today,
Smiling down on every one of us,
Rejoicing and telling us it will be O.K..
We love you momma! You will be sadly missed.
I know she will be deeply missed by the ASDC community.

Good Times
Tee, I get too chocked up and cry too much, thinking of never hearing my beloved friend's voice. Therefore I know how the family feel. I played Pokeno with Geneva for over 40 years (the last 10 years Geneva decided the Lord did not want her to gamble her pennies away), but she still wanted to be part of the "Weston Avenue Pokeno Club"; so she served as "Hostess at each party, taking orders for food, drinks snacks, etc, ALWAY'S with that beautiful smile.
When the group came to Atlanta, Georgia, where I had moved and it was my time to host Pokeno, Geneva still acted as the hostess. Our Pokeno Club always had a good fun loving time. I can tell you of other events we had; our yearly trip to Ocean City, plays. church events, car pooling to visit a sick member, cooking a meal for a member who had lost a loveone, and taking care of each other by visiting in hospitals, homes, by phone calls or maybe just a note or card, etc We always remember what GOD's command said "Love One Another As I Love You". My son Michael called as I was typing this note to remind me how he use to eat dinner at home, then walk up the street and eat some of Geneva's gooooood cooking. He and Gregory send Prayers and Love to all the family
