Every day you are missed more George. Your absence is felt in many ways. Your footsteps coming down our path and your cheerful smile and "hiya love" as you walked through the door. You always had a new joke (and many an old one) and that daft infectious laugh of yours as you told it. Always up for any job Ken needed a hand with. You are with us every day in thoughts and conversation and shared memories. We both love and miss you, old lad. xxx

Fond memories of a great brother, tragically taken too early from us, miss you George.

Our second Christmas without you Love and it seems like an eternity. They say grief diminishes with time but after 44 years together I don't think it ever will. I still love you with all my heart and certain songs bring me to tears unexpectedly or if I see a couple our age holding hands walking down the street I feel robbed. We should have grown old together and enjoyed our silver years

We have had your first birthday without you love, but we came to Camerton and left you a card as if you were still with us.We got through Matthews birthday without you there and I managed to get through waking up on my first birthday without you there. We would have been married for 45 years on the 20/6/15, another first. It's Fathers day and Julie's birthday the day after another double first without you. All these firsts are so hard and I don't think the second or the thirds will be any easier. You are still so badly missed, keep dancing with the angels my love xx

Four weeks have passed and missing George gets harder rather than easier, nobody tells you grief can hurt so much. I miss telling him about my day and I miss hearing about his day. As a family we know he would not have liked to linger in the pain he was in, and yet he never complained, he wouldn't even take a paracetamol until the week before he died. A very brave man indeed and I love him more than ever for not burdening us with the extreme pain he must have been in. We will find answers to his very quick death, we owe him that much, but for now everything is still a bit raw but we will get to the bottom of it all

A truly lovely man who will be missed by many. Always kind and thoughtful whenever I visited his home, here and abroad. Nothing was ever too much trouble if we needed a lift anywhere. One great memory I have is when we had a night out on the Toon & George was a bit intoxicated on the metro journey home. Bless him, he threw up all the way home as I rubbed his back. While Jools & Yvonne laughed! Happy days & great memories of a fab friend, Dad, Husband & Grandad. R.I.P xxxxx

A shining light has been dimmed. He will be so sadly missed for his cheeky grin and fantastic sense of humour.

George..a loveable, likeable, cheeky Geordie lad.
His gentle but passionate love for music and life could be eclipsed only by his one true love, his family.
A joy to meet, a pleasure to be with, often in our thoughts but always in our hearts and we are all truly saddened by his passing.
It is however impossible to think of George himself with any kind of sadness.
He is and always will be remembered with warmth, delight, sunshine in our hearts and with a smile upon our faces.
As are you all.
With love and sweet reminiscences Dave, Sarah, Brandon and Harrison xxxx

I will always remember George being so excited enthusiastic & huge support to Jools in the shop. Always smiling even when he must have been in pain. I will remember the lovely man who was as excited as me setting up the lovely sweet cart for Emilie's 16th just a year ago. He is such a huge loss & yet another lovely man taken too soon. There are no words that will take away the pain but I will say this to George .... 'Dont worry Yvonne Jools & Matt are surrounded by lovely family & friends who will do whatever is needed to help them whenever they need us' . RIP xxx

I didn't know him that long so I've not got so many memories as others here - I remember a right character who tended to speak his mind and when he did took no prisoners!  I know he will be deeply missed.
