Georgia A. Hinton

Georgia A. Hinton passed away on May 19, 2020, in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania from COVID-19. She has been suffering from ALS which took away her ability to walk and speak, leaving her to communicate only by writing on her iPad. More than a year ago she was also diagnosed with lung cancer, then recently contracted and recovered from pneumonia. She attended church regularly until her illness. Her greatest joy was coming to Sabbath Services and getting hugs from everyone.  She has now entered a peaceful and painless sleep.

She was born to Charles A. Hanns and Margaret L. Stringfield, June 14, 1943.  She graduated from Luther Porter Jackson High School, Dendron, VA in June 1961. She attended Virginia State University, Petersburg, VA for two years. She was married twice and divorced.  She has a son, Bruce W. Turner who resides in Philadelphia, PA.  She worked for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Federal Government for over 25 years.
