Uncle Glenn

It has been difficult to gather my thoughts and decide what to write, so here it goes. I would like to say thank you to all of Uncle Glenn's friends, coworkers, customers, and family for sharing videos, photos, and memories for everyone to enjoy. It warms my heart to read your posts and to see the kind of impact he made on other's lives.
It has been extremely difficult for me over the last year and a half because I couldn't hear
Uncle Glenn's voice. Since I lived over on the east coast it was hard to catch him when he was feeling well enough to talk on the phone. As most of you know, Glenn's voice was one of his greatest qualities. Glenn had an incredible vocal range and vibrato as well as the ability to sing and write songs. He also had a gift of gab. One of my strongest memories was when we would talk on the phone. Glenn loved sharing his latest joke, newest lyric, or factoid since we last spoke. Luckily, I still possessed a copy of his Robot Wife cd that he mailed back in the late 90's. As he would put it, "that's KILLER!" haha.
Glenn was a lifelong learner. He enjoyed learning about the civil war, art, music, the cosmos, as well as theology and spiritualism. Whenever I would come to visit he was eager to share his newest artifact, piece of artwork, and explain its significance. His passion for sharing his hobbies with me became a major influence on my art, music, and spirituality.
Glenn was a natural teacher. He taught me to respect other's cultures and to practice empathy. As any great teacher, he had the ability to make your day by getting you to crack a smile or make someone laugh. He always wore a smile as you can see from the many photos and videos. Glenn's philosophy in life was a reflection of his personality. He believed in living carefree and to be grateful in life. If there are two things that Uncle Glenn taught me above everything else. First, remember to laugh every day and that you are never too old to be a kid.
I bet heaven is "bitch'n" now that you are up there singing your heart out for everyone. Don't worry, I will look after Aunt Debbie. Love you and miss you so much, Uncle Glenn.
