My Auntie Gloria was called "Smokey"..but only by my father, her brother in law, Carver, from Michigan. My mother, Maxine, her baby sister, would make sure we came down at least once a year to visit and when I got older, I brought my family down every 2 years. Auntie Gloria always greeted us with a big smile and a "Hey", made sure she made us some of her famous cornbreadĀ and pecan brownies! She will surely be missed as one of the kindest, most loving and generous person I've known. I will forever remember the times I've spent with my Auntie. I'm grateful for the memories on Graymont avenue and Legion Field. Rest on Auntie..love ya!
