Happy Birthday, Daddy. I miss you every single day. I think of you when I hear classic country & western music, I think of you when I'm bumbling through trying to build something, wishing I would have inherited your skill. When I make a mistake, I say, "Damn it, Garner!" with a wink to you. I think of you singing while you were building things...I sing too if there's no one around. I think of you when I see a little red truck and I cherish the memories of waiting for you to come home. I used to say, "What did you bring me, Daddy?" Sometimes it was a stick of Wrigley's Doublemint gum, sometimes it was a box of treasures abandoned by someone moving. but truly, you brought me values and strength that define who I am. You will always be with me because I am made of you...but I so miss having you here to see and talk to. Thank you for being a wonderful daddy. I love you.
