Precious Memories
December 26, 2020
When my father, Ollie, made his transition in 2011, Uncle June made one request of me. He asked that the song "Precious Memories" be played/sung at the service. I provided the church with a copy of the song to be played during the Family Hour. Well . . . the church forgot, and so did I.
After the service, Uncle June shook his finger at me with a look of disappointment on his face and softly said "you didn't do it". I asked him "what"? His reply: "You didn't play my song". Needless to say, it broke my heart. He then made me promise to have it played/sung when he made his transition. Please take a moment to listen and reflect on the Precious Memories that will always live in our hearts. Thank you.
Uncle June,
This one is for You. Thank you for the Precious Memories that will live in our hearts forever.
Love,
Dianne
