9th Anniversary of your passing dad
Love you so much Dad ❣
Keerstan Marie, your little penguin, has become quite the fastpitch softball player. You would love to watch her pitch dad she puts her whole heart and soul into the game. Still little but starting to grow. So busy with playing sports and dance I wonder where she gets the energy. Her mom by her side coaching her and I hope your watching as I know you would be so proud of all the kids playing sports.
Mallory growing up so fast has had braces on and yes gets them off today on your birthday, 13, already driving around the hill and down to your house when she gets the chance, just seems like yesterday they were baking you a cake and throwing you a party and yes we had to have party hats! A day that will be remembered forever as the best birthday party ever. And what can I tell you about Mallory, she is a true teenager, she loves talking or texting on her phone running around with all of her friends and hearing all the new gossip. She is a sweetie.
Charlie, Oh dad he loves to watch you tube, you say what the h*** is that, he would of loved to show you and you would get a kick out of him and how he gets excited over some of the stuff on it. He is just now starting to get into reading, two books at a time and telling about both, yes, that would be my dad, the love of reading, another trait we recieved from you, they weren't all bad as some may think. Lol He loves football and plays basketball and so glad the kids love sports.
Keegan your 1st great grandson and his first serious girlfriend, 14, he has his learner's permit oh how nice it would be if you would be able to carry on the tradition to take him out on the country toads and let him drive you around. And a history buff he is, he can't get enough!!! They went to Gettysburg Battleground and he has so many videos and books on history he just absorbs it like a sponge. One thing you handed down to your kids. grandkids and now great grandkids was your love for history and I can't thank you enough for that Dad. God Blessed me with the greatest dad on earth and now in heaven above watching over all of us. Love you so much today tomorrow and forevermore.
We shared another Christmas without you, the kids are all growing so fast you would be so proud of each one of them, They are all so full of love to give and that came from you, Thank you Dad for everything, I just wish you could give me a sign as to when this is going to get easier? I long for for just one more of your hugs.
Raymond, your namesake is so much like you in so many ways. For Christmas he wanted a memory book to remember Everyone he has in his family and wanted to know all of his ancestors. He has your heart for sure and I thank God Every day for that because he just knew that he had met you but just was forgetting what you looked like, so I know that was a touch from you and God.
Alex is so in to history Dad... As I sit quietly and listen to my history lesson lol I think of how similar you two are in that area... And I had never told Alex that but one day he says Mom..I think Grandpa Rupe and I could have talked for hours about stuff. It brought me to tears. There isn't a one of us that wish you weren't still here to meet your great grandkids or to see how your grandkids have grown up and what they've become. Miss you Dad!
My dad told me the story of how he got his front tooth chipped when he was around 8 or 10. He said he had made your dad mad about something and he was chasing him. My dad said if he caught him he would have killed him so he went running to Grandma Rupe (he was such a mama's boy, this can be confirmed by the Rupe sisters). He said he had just made it to the back door when Uncle Raymond threw a pocket knife at him. My dad said he could see it coming end over end blade to handle as it came closer ( if any of you knew my dad you know this could be a great exaggeration if not an out and out lie, but it makes for a good story) when whack! the handle hit him in the mouth chipping his tooth. He said Grandma Rupe ran after Uncle Raymond hitting and throwing anything she could get her hands on at him (could be another exaggeration). According to Joe that's how he got his front tooth chipped.
