Jim was a quiet and intelligent man who worked hard and took care of his family.
I will always remember him as a hero for his military service and as a man I looked up to in many ways when I was young and got to call a friend as I got older.
I will also remember that Jim would tell me that if I ever needed anything to let him know.
I knew that he meant it and that he had my back if any misfortune or trouble ever came my way.
My heart goes out to Tracy and to Ken and Kyle as they have to say goodbye to this man who has been such a big part of their lives.
We all love you Jim and hope to meet you again on the other side. Find peace, soldier.

Jim has been my father-in-law for 34 years. We've shared many lives, from Restaurants and marriage, to sharing the raising of my son, his grandchild (Kyle), to relocating cross country twice, and this final chapter. We've shared ups and downs, beautiful moments and grief. He was always a loving and welcoming presence. Jim, Gisela, and Tracy expressed family loyalty second to none.
Despite his illness and suffering, he kept a positive attitude and a love of spending every moment he could with his daughter Tracy, and the rest of his family.
You're already so very missed Soldier.

I will miss my grandpa Jim and all the fond memories I have of him. He has spent most of my life with me and my family living close to my mom, who he loved dearly. I know he is now in the best place to be but I will miss watching sports & playing blackjack with him. The last gift he got me was my rangefinder that I have now named after him so anytime I am on the golf course I will remember him & take him with me. RIP grandpa Jim
