It does not seem possible it's been 7 years since we last saw Jeffery. We miss his happy face. We think of him often, especially when we stop by Florida on way home from Texas each spring.

I was Jeff’s roommate at Ashland University (College back then) from second semester freshman year until he left the end of sophomore year (1975). We would lay in bed at night talking about the future and what it would bring. Well, Jeff, it looks like your future was quite impactful judging by all the lives you touched along the way including mine. You lived a good life and your memory will live on for generations to come. To Linda and family: you have my heartfelt condolences. Wish I would have known at the time of his passing. My God bless, look over and comfort you.

Wow, 1 year for remembering Jeff. For the family, it has been long and painful. All the memories. Thoughts. Prayers. It has been very tough, some good memories but a lot of sadness continues. It is hard to "forget" a great man, husband, father, co-worker, family, golf buddy, hunter, motor-biker, camper, sports enthusiast, and lawn mower driver. I will always remember his smile, his love for his wife and kids, and always willing to go to a new adventure. Plus, the love to and from his dog, Chouch.

From Jan Mangan:

Jeff could make me laugh. He and Linda together were like a comedy team! Somehow God crossed our paths from Brunswick schools, baptist church up bringing, his Certified gas station, living in Chatham, our kids being in school together, taking my son on their family vacation, and basically just being a friend at all times.
I have Jeff to thank for introducing me to Linda. The best part of the deal. Jeff was an accomplished and confident man who had an opinion on even his phone ringtone. I love all that he stood for and I am honored to call him and his family my friends. May God keep you close by in heaven, mostly so you can keep him laughing Jeff.
I also hope The Big Guy upstairs gives you a window to watch over your wife, children and grands as life goes on here. Rest in peace

From early May until the latter part of September for more years than I can accurately count, I have had the privilege and honor to play golf two or three times a week with my friend and playing partner, Jeff Robey. The humbling game of golf and Jeff's personality had many similarities as our foursome knew it. Jeff was our LEADER as he was almost always the first one to the course and wouldn't let us leave that afternoon without a starting time for our next round. Jeff was a FAIR man in that he took the time to figure out our handicaps after each round so that no one man had an unfair stroke advantage over another. He was a COMPETITOR like no other as he couldn't wait to get to the next golf day if we had lost our match to our good friends Danny and Tom.

However, as much as Jeff loved the game of golf, family was the most important thing in his life. Often as we were riding up and down the beautiful wooded hills of Rawiga C.C. we would talk about how we loved our wives and what a great life we had. At other times we would be winding our way around the lakes at Grey Hawk talking about our kids and what wonderful lives they had made for themselves. It was rare when Jeff didn't talk about his grandchildren as we played the wind swept third hole of Shale Creek. They were all special to him though spread out over three states.

Jeff, I'll always remember the great times we've had over the many golf courses we've played. So on be half of your foursome, Danny Morgan, Tom Luther, and myself, you will be missed, my friend, and I'm sure all of us hope to be reunited with you again one day.

Know that you will see him in heaven. He is up there telling stories about golf, hunting, travel, and family. He loved you so so much.  Much love, Debbie, Bill, Christina, and Amy Frickey

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember witnessing your loving relationship from the time of your early dating while we worked at Medina Hospital. Words can never express my deepest sympathy, but, you, Jeff, and your children will be in my thoughts and prayers. As I viewed your family photos over the years I can say that Jeff was certainly one of the greatest examples of fatherhood that I have ever witnessed. I know he will be greatly missed. I pray that Jesus and Mary will hold Jeff in Their loving arms in his new heavenly home. And, I pray for your healing in peace in this difficult time. My love is with you, Linda.  God bless you and Jeff..............

Our foursome played golf at least 2 to 3 times a week. It was the best part of my summer. Jeff and Tom against Danny and me. I will always remember this bird on number 12 chasing Jeff every time he swung his club. Never us just Jeff. He would chase it and throw his driver at it but it always came back every week. I was lucky to play with Jeff before he left for Florida. On number 8 he made a 179 yard shot in the hole for an eagle. He was so happy smiling and talking for the rest of the round. I will always remember that. Jeff was my (our) great friend and I miss him. He will always have a place in my heart. Rest in peace buddy.

Jeff was a good friend that I met while going to church in Brunswick, OH. We became close friends. We played softball for many years together. Jeff introduced me to deer hunting and that became a well loved sport for me for many years. Even though I had to move to Texas we kept in touch through the years always talking about the good old times we shared. Every call was a blessing for me. Linda, my heart goes out to you and your family for your loss. You are in my heart and in my prayers always.

I was lucky to meet Jeff Robey and his family in 1996 as 17-year-old exchange student. I will always remember him as a very nice man. I remember his encouraging words when I was shy to speak English (my native language is Czech). Thank you Jeff for all you and your family had done for me at that time. You will always be in my heart.

Jeff was our very friendly nephew. He was a great young man who enjoyed life and his dear family. When he was healthy and he would go hunting and fishing. After grand kids he was sometimes their caregivers. Just a wonderful man who went to heaven, too soon. We will sure miss his smile and laughter.

Jeff will be missed ,by many in our small Chatham Community ! I am grateful for the time my son; Tyler was welcomed into the Robey home as Jeff, Linda and family babysit him, while I worked. Jeff was a true friend and great influence! I will miss him pulling into the driveway on his "motor-scooter" and chatting for awhile, to catch up on the "Chatham news"! Rest in Peace, until we meet again!

To the Family and Friends of Jeffrey,

Please except my deepest condolences. It is unnatural to lose one so young in death. Although I didn't have the pleasure of knowing "Jeff", I wanted to share some peaceful thoughts that helped me when I lost my mom to the enemy, death. I've found comfort in knowing that "there is going to be a resurrection" (Acts 24:15) I hope that you'll find comfort in knowing that you can see your loved one again during a time when "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)
