Butting Heads
I will have to admit when John came into my mothers life I was not very happy about it. I was a rebelious teenager who was not going to let this stranger tell me what to do. But John was persitant and patient. I came to know him as the most giving person I had ever met and once I grew out of my hard headed I learned many life lessons from him. He was always there when I needed him wether it was to help me with a problem or just listen to me complain.
And once I came to love him, he goes and has a heart attack and I thought typical how my life goes. We found this wonderful guy and now he's going to be leaving us. Well thankfully that didn't happen for another 28 years because he had many more things to teach us.
And a few years ago I got the chance to marry a wonderful man. And all my sister's said I found my "John". My husband Chuck wasn't sure what that meant but assured him that it was the highest compliment you could get from my sisters.
I think about my mom everyday since she has gone and now I can think about both of them being together again and this time it's forever. Love you both!!!!
Uncle John
Uncle John was such a great man. He was always so calm and so kind. He was just fun to be around.
I remember when I was in high school; he talked my parents into letting me go see the Rolling Stones with Aunt Marilyn and my cousins – my first concert! I am still not sure how he did that.
Mike, Mary, Margie, Monica, Michelle and Mindy - I know Uncle John will be greatly missed. It is comforting to know that he is with Aunt Marilyn again.
