Bobby, I know how much you must miss your Wife. Danny and I only had the opportunity to meet Kathleen once and of course she and I shared a bond not many others could understand. I will save a hug for you until I see you again. I am sorry not to have talked you for a while.   I hope to see you and the big yellow truck when you're ready. - Danny & Cindy

Kathy was my friend and co-worker. We used to meet every once in awhile and would get our nails done. She was a beautiful person and cared about everything and everyone. She was a jem in this world and we need more Kathy's like her in it. I will miss her dearly. My prayers go out to her family. She loved you all very much. - Mary J.

Kathy taught me many things in our IS days together, I am kind of a wisenheimer and it was like my mission to get her off topic and make jokes, she never found any of them funny and she would always bring me back to task :) I am thankful for the time we spent together and thank you for all the knowledge you shared with me. My love and thoughts are with all of you.

Kathy you have been a friend for many years, all the way back to Hayward days, I loved hearing about all your cats and was very happy to hear you were enjoying your time volunteering at the Vets. You were were a true friend, and I really enjoyed our Nascar talks, even though you loved Jeff Gordon the best. You will be truly missed. Thank you for the friendship we shared over the years

Kathy, I will miss seeing you every day and am grateful to have had the honor of being your friend and working with you for the past 13 years. You've brought a lot of joy to my days and taught me more about cats (inside and out) then I ever though possible. I sincerely hope you knew how much I appreciated having you in my life. It's not going to be the same around here without you,

Kathy, I will always be grateful to have had you as a friend and co-worker. You will be sorely missed by your many friends.  You gave a wonderful home to two of my rescue kitties and to so many others as well. You have done so much for so many needy cats - you truly had a heart of gold. Thank you for being my friend and for being such a faithful friend to so many felines.

The Love of a Child

March 15, 2012

Mom,  you will never know how much you meant to me and for that I am sorry.  Through all that you and I have been through (the good, great and other) I have never once stopped loving and thinking about you.  You were my first and best teacher in all things (academic and life).  When life threw me one of its greatest challenges you were there for me and my son.  When I was young you taught me how to learn lines for school plays and songs for choir.  Now I use those skills and talent for a career.  Your passion for the arts that you shared with me then, has become my passion over the last several years and has carried me through when I thought there was nothing left.  You also showed me that when it seems like the whole world is stacked against you, you never back down and keeping pushing forward to find the solutions to life's challenges.  I have employed that process more times then I have ever wanted to.  I can truly say that I will only miss you in a bodily sense, for everything that I do, say and am is part of you and I will have that comfort until I can see you again.  I love you, Mom!  Always have and always will.

There is another angel in heaven!

We know this because Kathy was an angel on earth, especially to the cats that were lucky enough to have been a part of her life.  Since we first met Kathy her love for her kitties was obvious.  Later we learned that her caring extended to all cats.  Kathy used to come into Feline Medical Center 3 times a week to volunteer her time doing a “Love Shift” giving the cats that are boarding and living here extra love and attention.  Often she would come in after working extremely long days.  Kathy was also very concerned and empathetic with people.  She always took the time to ask how you were and was genuinely interested in your answer.  We miss her greatly.

Kathy was the kindest woman I have ever had the honor of calling my friend.  She shared her time with me at Feline Medical Center, when she wasn't busy spoiling our kitties.  Even when she was tired or not feeling well, she would still come by.  I think that it helped perk her up especially when she was having a tough day.  I know she often helped perk me up.  It was so sweet of her to stop by the front desk at each of her visits to chat about the day with me.  She was great at helping me cheer up when I was having a tough day.
I first really go to know Kathy when she adopted a cat from us at Feline Medical Center.  She was a "difficult" kitty but Kathy new she was just misunderstood.  She saw right past her hissing and knew she could give Cinnamon the loving home she so deserved.
Kathy was so gentle and loving to everyone and every cat.
She loved Bob so much!  She spoke so highly of him all the time.  Her voice would get soft, she'd smile and her eyes lit up.
It makes me so sad that she's not going to come share her day with me again.  I'll always remember her kindness and generosity and will always be grateful that she was my friend.  I am sure she stopped at Rainbow Bridge to meet up with the precious cat companions she'd lost when she was still with us.  I hope she gave them a pet and a kiss from me.
