Best primary teacher!

August 19, 2021
Kole became my primary teacher shortly after he returned from his mission.  I was a wild child with severe ADHD and I was a challenge for any teacher that was assigned to be my teacher. He handled the challenge with grace.

He was a memorable teacher as he was the only one to ever lift me over his head with one arm and hold me against the ceiling until I calmed down. I actually loved that and thought it was great fun.

He eventually found that bribing me with homemade cookies was the best approach to get me to cooperate. He made the best cookies!

I felt he loved and cared about me and he really made church fun. He was my favorite teacher and I'll always remember him.

In the winter of 1991 Em and I went up with Kole and a friendup into the mountains to pick out a Christmas tree.  During the process we found ourselves tackled in the snow with our faces buried...thanks to Kole!  He thought that was so funny!  A picture was taken by someone (can't remember) and Kole's face was pure joy, satisfaction, and happiness!  He enjoyed every second of that moment!
Life is moments and I will never forget this moment.

Such a great man Kole was, and I just met Kole last month. My wife and I got to know Emilee and their daughters about 7 years ago. We are so fortunate and happy that we were able to finally meet Kole. We were looking forward to meeting again. That day will still come Kole. Heaven definitely gained another angel. We will meet again my friend.

I met Kole 20+ years ago when I married one of his childhood friends, Trent Marshall. When our daughter Kate passed away, a few of Trent's close friends were at our house one night, and as I was saying goodnight they once again told me if there was anything I needed to just let them know. I looked down at the banister and saw my black dress that I needed cleaned for the funeral draped over it. I chuckled and asked if any of them wanted to drop my dress off at the dry cleaners.
Kole not only dropped it off for me, he picked it up and delivered it to me at my office.
My coworkers thought it was interesting that one of Boise's finest in uniform was delivering my dry cleaning.
