You are missed but not forgotten. Your beautiful work is all aaround. People praise your talent and you as a person. I think of you everytime I sit down to sew on a quilt and when I use your old lady which is now mine she lovingly whispers "Are you making good use of our time" Love and miss you

I had to pick the feather for this tribute as Linda is the Feather Queen. I met her at Roxanne Carter's and a friendship grew from there. She helped me so much with my quilting and especially with my longarm. She made the steep learning curve so much easier for me. It was hard to "get" Linda, but I did freak her out once when she came over to help me with the longarm and she found me examining my stitches with a magnifying glass. For my 60th birthday she took me up to her Aunt Anna's to pick up 2 new kitties for me. Her Patches and Bobbin were my Badger Bob and Squeaker's aunts. Linda always asked how "the boys" were. She loved to teach, tease, bake bread for us, give us special birthday cakes or cinnamon rolls, allow us to have fabric buying frenzies, help us solve quilting problems, give us flowers and veggies from her prolific gardens. I miss you, Linda, but part of you will always be with me in so many areas of my life.

Linda and I became like sisters - the Bickerson sisters. We had more fun teasing and making up names for each other. She was Tush, and I was The Gizz. We were both competitive and would not be above sabotaging the other if it meant getting ahead. Whether it was working on a jigsaw puzzle or a quilt, we were constantly trying to best the other. My favorite memory was when on a quilt retreat, we both were working on Weaver Fever. Although I started my quilt a day earlier, she had soon surpassed me.  When she wasn't looking, I quietly unplugged her sewing machine. She sputtered and stammered how her machine wasn't working and how it just been serviced. Meanwhile, I caught up and surged ahead until she figured out what happened. I never heard the end of that stunt. She encouraged me to get my long-arm sewing machine and then held my hand throughout my learning curve. She never tired of calling me "Tension Carol." She was a big part of my life. How I shall miss my best buddy!

I know Linda from our days at Roxanne's Saturday quilting group. After years I quilting, I still I swore up until this year that I would never ever do a JN quilt (it made me exhausted just to think of all the tiny pieces). Then I saw Linda was teaching Glacier Star and I gave in to begin making this beautiful quilt. Linda's teaching style and encouragement got me through the first few sessions and made it doable. Unfortunately, we will now have to finish the quilt without her. I took this class with my coworker who is also a "Candice". Linda gave us the nicknames of Candy #1 and Candy#2. She made us both agree to put our quilts in a fair once they were completed. Assuming I will get to that point one day, I will have to call mine "Linda's Legacy".

I have known Linda for many years, She and Leslie took my first Sampler class and along with the class they decided they wanted to continue coming each month, that started my Girls Night Out classes. She was a real joy to know and said I had the evil eye when it came to finding things she missed in her quilting. I designed a couple of quilts patterns for her and really enjoyed all her work. She was a talented quilter, gardener, artist and a very good friend. She will be missed by all.

I know Linda from Roxanne's girls day and JN group. I remember laughing about the dueling Juki's. It was difficult to concentrate because we were laughing so hard. The Bickerson sisters were fun to listen to and awesomely entertaining. Linda was such a good teacher. Back on the day, she pulled me aside to teach me then proper way to cut fabric, discreetly. This was funny. She was encouraging and inspirational and will never be forgotten. Her talent will live on forever with the 100s of quilts she left behind. What a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the sky was blue and The Lord received her with open arms. Peace, my friend!

Linda will be remembered for her amazing talent in the quilting world but I will mostly remember her for her up-beat personality and the way she welcomed questions and eagerly answered them. She touched all of our hearts. She will be remembered with a smile and I'm sure that is what she would want.

One thing I did not know about Linda is we shared the same middle name. I remember sewing with her, Sue and Jeanette at Roxannes and the dueling Jukis. She always whipped us. But so much fun was had by us all, her high off key singing and her devotion to her friends and family was always first. Love and miss you and I will endeavor to make good use of my time.

Linda and I loved our yards and all the work that went into them, Hydrangea's and all the hosta's. We would wander around her yard and enjoy all the fruits of her labor. When I found out I had cancer and was heading for surgery she would call me up every couple of days and say how are you doing? She was always so upbeat and positive. I will miss her phone calls and walks in her gardens. And yes, I am making good use of my time my friend
